Behavioural Insights Unit

The Behavioural Insights Unit works to improve the effectiveness of public services and policy by applying what we know about the way people think and act.

It seeks to design solutions and trial interventions to identify solutions by:

  • running major trials, providing policy advice and support to NSW government agencies that are running their own behavioural trials and interventions
  • building the capability of the NSW public sector to apply Behavioural Insights through training, resources, and hosting events with leading thinkers and practitioners
  • contributing to the global body of Behavioural Insights evidence by collaborating with academia and publishing NSW trial results.
