Liquor, Gaming & Racing is comprised of three branches:
- Liquor & Gaming NSW
- Office of Responsible Gambling
- Office of Racing.
Liquor & Gaming NSW
Liquor & Gaming NSW regulates the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino and registered clubs sectors in NSW, and provides policy advice to government in these spaces.
They also provide secretariat support to the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority, the statutory decision-maker responsible for a range of casino, liquor, registered club and gaming machine regulatory functions.

Office of Responsible Gambling
The Office of Responsible Gambling leads the development of responsible gambling strategy and public policy advice for the NSW Government, and manages programs and initiatives to prevent and reduce gambling harms in the community.

Office of Racing
The Office of Racing has responsibilities for the state’s thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing industries, including managing relationships with the three codes’ controlling bodies.

Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission
An independent regulator of the greyhound industry in NSW, the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission was established to administer animal welfare and governance functions within the greyhound industry.
The Commission's objectives are to:
- promote and protect the welfare of greyhounds
- safeguard the integrity of greyhound racing and betting
- maintain public confidence in the greyhound racing industry.
