To promote open, accountable, fair and effective government in NSW, members of the public have a right to access government information.

Budget Data Visualisation

The Budget Data Visualisation tool is an interactive visualisation, enabling users to drill-down into  capital expenditure, business expenses and revenue. This makes it easy for you to see where  funds are distributed and are being spent. The budget data is also available for download in a variety of formats.

How can I access Department of Customer Service information?

Certain information is required by law to be available on our website, free of charge. This is called "open access information" and includes our policy documents, disclosure log and register of government contract. This is available under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009.

What is Public Access to information?

The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) establishes a comprehensive system for public access to government information. This replaces the Freedom of Information Act 1989 (NSW).

Disclosure log

Our disclosure log is a record of information that the Department of Customer Service has released, often in response to a specific request from an individual or organisation, that we think could also be of interest to other members of the public.

Proactive Release Register

Proactive release is the release of information by an agency, in an appropriate manner and free of charge (or at lowest reasonable cost). This is a list of the documents release as part of the register.

Register of Government Contracts

All contracts the Customer Service enters into with the private sector valued over $150,000 are required to be recorded in the register of government contracts.
